ID: Group C - plain; basal ⅙ of flagellum thickened with scales; forewing buff, usually with 2 or 3 diffuse fuscous stigmata and a variable scattering of light ferruginous scales. Doubtful specimens can be confirmed by the diagnostic appearance of the first abdominal tergite, which is strongly sclerotised as a shield with stout peg-like spines.
