Male genitalia
Vinculum standard. Saccus short, rounded, slightly curved dorsally. Tegumen arced. Median lobe of gnathos standard ovoid. Sacculus bowed - anterolateral margin long curved with a slight obtuse angle at ⅖ from base; posterolateral angle distinct; posterior process long, directed posteriorly and curved (medially in the natural position). Valvula elongate, broadening somewhat towards apex. Costa with a short attachment to sacculus, somewhat produced medially as a flat weak transtilla. Juxta pediculate, medium length, fused to base of tunica. Tunica 2-pronged; prongs fairly long, both with an apical tooth. Vesica longer than tunica, strongly curved; annulus slightly longer than width of vesica, fused with extensive sclerotisation of walls of concave side of curve; containing a small cornutus. Male genital key: Aedeagus pronged; sacculus without a distinct anterior process or projection; with a broad based posterior process narrowing to the apex which curves medially, arising from lateral end of posterior border of sacculus.
Sacculus fairly rounded anterolaterally, without a distinct lateral border; aedeagus with two prongs, both of which narrow abruptly to sclerotised apical point. |
