Male genitalia
V standard. T tubular. Gnathos unique: side arms continuous with lateral borders of T; median lobe a strong tongue, rounded at the apex (which is ventral in the natural position) and grooved (so that its lateral margins are directed posteriorly in the natural position), the lateral margins are also rounded dorsally (in the longitudinal plane). Anal tube emerges dorsal to gnathos. Sacculus simple; anteroventral margin shallowly curved; anterolateral angle distinct, obtuse, unadorned; lateral margin short, fused with costa (no PLA). Costa as broad as sacculus and extends further laterally, apex rounded, ventral surface covered in fine hair-like spines. Valvula short, arises preapically from dorsal surface of costa near its anteroventral margin. The anterior margin of the costa is produced into a small projecting pulvinus? Costa extended medially as a fine transtilla. Juxta short standard. Aedeagus with two strong prongs in an entirely hyaline tunica; the prongs are entirely separate from each other apart from a narrow basal connection to the juxta; vesica longer than tunica, annulus narrow indistinct, curve sclerotised on concave side, a single needle-like cornutus at anterior end of curve of vesica. Male genital key: No other species has a gnathos of this form
