ID: Group D - plain with a pale costa
Genital dissection required to distinguish from other species in Group D Most similar to C.alticolella, which usually shows obscure streaks and is keyed in Group E and C.adjunctella, which has dark fuscous outer aspect of labial palps and much of legs.
I have noted that this species usually shows a narrow black line at the base of the costa - possibly this is diagnostic?

Male genitalia: Vinculum produced anteriorly into a truncate saccus. Tegumen arched. Median lobe of gnathos standard ovoid. Anal tube unsupported. Sacculus rectangular (almost triangular); anteroventral margin shallowly curved; apex, composed of anterior and posterior flaps, is curved dorsally through 90° in the natural position, these flaps become small anterior and posterior projections in the set position, with a very short notched lateral margin between them (though it is almost impossible to actually set them in this position); posterior margin slightly sinuate. Valvula elongate, attached to a costal fold, attached in turn to the posterior margin of the sacculus on its internal surface. Base of sacculus articulates with vinculum; base of costa articulates with anterior end of tegumen. Transtilla a straight weakly sclerotised band from base of costa towards, but not reaching, base of tunica. Juxta long, extends anteriorly from junction of valvae to fuse with base of tunica. Aedeagus 2-pronged, prongs free except at extreme base, both prongs with a shortly serrate keel from apex nearly to base. Vesica ~½ length of prongs; short annulus connected to sclerotised concave side of curve; containing a single, slender, slightly curved cornutus.
Male genital key: tunica 2-pronged; sacculus with an anterior projection but without a distinct anterior process; lateral margin of sacculus narrow with a single shallow notch; both prongs of aedeagus with a serrate carina.
Female genitalia: Anal papillae pointed. Posterior apophyses ~2xOP. Anterior apophyses ~1xOP. Ostial plate quadrate. Dorsal plate of A8 with a strongly sclerotised midline. Ostium at posterior margin. Antrum sclerotised, visible through ostial plate, 1xOP, broadest near ostium; adherent to ostial plate for posterior ¼, then free. Ductus bursae sinuate in posterior half, with ~4 coils in anterior half. Sclerotisation: linear from antrum just posterior to anterior margin of ostial plate to start of coils; circumferential relatively sparse spicules ~1xOP, from ~⅓xOP anterior to anterior margin of ostial plate. Junction with corpus bursae abrupt. Corpus bursae ~spherical. Signum a small thorn with a rounded base plate and a short, curved spike with a slightly serrate concave margin.
Feamle genital key: Ductus bursae with a spiculate/sclerotised section in its posterior part; signum small; ostium at posterior margin of ostial plate
Sclerotisation of ductus bursae a central "tail" extending for posterior ½ with some surrounding spiculation near the ostial plate
Sclerotisation of ductus bursae a central "tail" extending for posterior ½ with some surrounding spiculation near the ostial plate
