Male genitalia
Vinculum standard; saccus small rounded. Tegumen tubular. Gnathos median lobe triangular, articulated at an angle (rather than on a side of the triangle) and naturally lies recurved back on the tegumen so that the broader end is anterior; hairs in ridged rows. Sacculus rectangular - anteroventral margin straight; anterolateral angle obtuse, rounded, marked by a small flap that naturally curves inwards; lateral margin thickened, slightly curved, ending posteriorly in a small club that crosses the anterior margin of the valvula. Valvula elongate. Transtilla obsolete. Juxta short, connected to base of tunica. Tunica simple. Vesica slightly longer than tunica, curved; no sclerotisation, apart from a poorly marked annulus; contains a long line of slender cornuti for its entire length, these cornuti so closely appressed that they might appear as a single curved cornutus at first sight. |
